Technical Delivery Lead

📋 Description

• Provide technical guidance across ongoing development initiatives.

• Evaluate solution designs, architectures, and implementation strategies to ensure excellence, maintainability, and appropriateness.

• Assist developers in navigating complex technical obstacles and overcoming delivery impediments.

• Establish and maintain technical standards, governance, and best practices in development.

• Remain updated on the latest AI development technologies and industry advancements.

• Advise developers on the responsible and effective utilization of AI-assisted development tools.

• Ensure that AI-generated outputs are thoroughly reviewed, tested, and validated.

• Incorporate AI tools into your own workflow to enhance efficiency and scalability.

• Organize development tasks into clear, manageable, and trackable components.

• Review and enhance task breakdowns to improve clarity, sequencing, and delivery efficiency.

• Maintain project visibility through systematic tracking and reporting practices.

• Facilitate accurate planning and forecasting via effective task management.

• Mentor and support developers at various experience levels.

• Foster technical growth through coaching, knowledge sharing, and constructive feedback.

• Advocate for best-practice development methodologies and continuous improvement.

• Validate technical scope and feasibility during discovery and solution design processes.

• Evaluate integration complexity, data readiness, and technical risks before project initiation.

• Contribute to realistic effort estimations and solution suggestions.

• Collaborate with Project Managers to aid in delivery planning, sequencing, and risk management.

• Balance solution quality with project timelines and budget constraints.

• Proactively escalate technical risks and issues.

• Identify scope alterations and support suitable change management processes.

• Provide technical insights to ensure successful project outcomes and client satisfaction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience in software development across diverse programming languages and technology stacks.

• Strong capability to review, troubleshoot, and guide technical implementation without focusing on daily coding tasks.

• In-depth understanding of software architecture, solution design, and development best practices.

• Experience utilizing Jira or similar project management tools to structure and manage development efforts efficiently.

• Current, practical experience with AI development tools and frameworks.

• Strong grasp of the capabilities, limitations, and governance aspects of AI-assisted development.

• Ability to evaluate how AI influences productivity, delivery effort, and project estimation.

• Demonstrated experience in leading, mentoring, and developing technical teams.

• Ability to offer constructive technical guidance while promoting team ownership and accountability.

• Strong capability to diminish knowledge silos and foster cross-functional collaboration.

• Experience in supporting project delivery with an understanding of how technical decisions affect timelines, budgets, and client results.

• Strong technical judgement with the ability to balance quality, feasibility, and commercial considerations.

• Capacity to identify risks, scope changes, and delivery challenges early.

• Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

• Confidence to challenge assumptions and technical methods in a constructive and professional manner.

• Experience in consulting, client-facing, or multi-project environments is highly valued.
