This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design and sustain Maya and Unreal-based pipelines that facilitate animation, rigging, and content export workflows.
• Create high-quality animations in gameplay that align with the overall style and established creative direction.
• Skilled in animating both mechanical and humanoid assets.
• Capable of following direction from the Art Director to ensure a consistent aesthetic throughout the project.
• Work alongside technical artists to address gaps in the pipeline and tools as necessary.
• Partner with 3D artists to ensure seamless transitions between asset creation and animation setup.
• Collaborate with production teams to provide estimates and timelines for the timely delivery of assets.
• Over 4 years of experience in technical animation and gameplay animation specifically tailored for games.
• Strong understanding of rigging workflows.
• Proficient in Maya and Unreal Engine 5.
• Familiarity with game-ready skeleton design, skinning, and the structure of animation scenes.
• Comfortable working within Perforce-integrated pipelines and managing scene referencing/export workflows.
• Ability to iterate quickly and solve problems effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
