This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provide technical guidance on workforce skills enhancement across all project activities while adhering to resource and financial limitations.

• Offer technical advice, strategies, and oversight for project grant mechanisms and procedures.

• Create systems and processes that support technical deliverables.

• Identify, mobilize, and deploy technical assistance from FHI 360 and external consultants to support grantees.

• Lead and engage in community planning efforts with education, industry, and government stakeholders.

• Guide and contribute to grant strategies by identifying opportunities, challenges, and community impacts.

• Supervise Community Coordinators and ensure they achieve project deliverables.

• Assist in refining project indicators that assess project progress and success.

• Report directly to the Project Director.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or its International Equivalent in Workforce Education, International Development, Economic Development, Education, or a related discipline.

• At least 8 years of relevant experience in project management and oversight of complex projects and initiatives.

• Experience in managing global projects.

• Proven expertise in career and technical education, workforce education or training, workforce development, economic development, or a similar field.

• Experience in providing technical assistance in workforce development or a related domain.

• Experience working on intricate projects on an international scale.

• Proven track record in establishing partnerships with non-governmental organizations, corporations, community colleges, technical and vocational training institutions, public sector entities, and local government representatives.

• Fluency in English is required.

• Proficiency in a second language is preferred.

• A Master’s Degree in a related field is preferred.

• Experience with programming funded by the private sector is preferred.

• Background in advanced manufacturing and/or the aerospace industry is advantageous.

• Up to 20% travel may be necessary.

• Successful candidates must pass reference checks, criminal record checks, terrorism finance screenings, and other related safeguarding assessments.
