Technical Account Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Engage in close consultative technical interactions with various large clients across the Asia-Pacific Japan (APJ) region.

• Develop a strong working relationship with the senior technical leadership teams of our customers and position yourself as their trusted advisor.

• Assist EDB clients in optimizing the benefits of their Postgres investment.

• Support EDB customers in formulating and implementing strategies for Postgres proliferation.

• Provide technical guidance for significant Postgres projects initiated by customers, including solutions consulting, architectural advice, and project management.

• Facilitate collaboration among EDB’s internal teams, including Professional Services, Field CTO, CSM, Technical Support, Account Team, and the customer.

• Keep up-to-date with the functional and technical aspects of the entire EDB product suite.

• Offer clear and constructive feedback on products to EDB’s product management teams based on customer needs.

• Help document best practices for developing and implementing EDB solutions.

• Serve as a primary technical resource for "best practice" inquiries and informal questions from customers.

• Manage customer escalations and work with the technical support team to ensure quicker resolutions.

• Travel may be required up to 25% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of eight (8) years of practical experience with Postgres, Oracle, DB2, or MS SQL Server; professional certifications in any of these relational databases are a plus.

• Advanced technical proficiency, particularly in data management platforms, operating systems, cloud technologies, and technical architecture.

• Familiarity with data analytics and AI/ML concepts.

• Experience with Kubernetes.

• Strong analytical abilities regarding technical and project management challenges.

• Good understanding of the strategic sales process.

• Well-honed organizational skills with the capability to manage competing client priorities.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and communicate effectively with CxO level personnel.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent technical training or industry experience is preferred.

• The TAM is required to complete the EDB Postgres Professional Certification within 6 months and remain current in all EDB training and certification programs at all times.
