Tech Lead – PropTech, Real Estate Media

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

📋 Description

• Lead Technical Execution: Oversee the development of comprehensive features for a streamlined team, making practical trade-offs between quick deployment and sustainable code quality.

• Ship from the Front: Stay actively involved by writing clean, production-ready code throughout the entire full-stack TypeScript environment.

• Architect AI & Agentic Systems: Move beyond basic implementations to implement tailored agentic workflows, state machine logic, and custom RAG pipelines.

• Engineer Trust & Reliability: Create custom guardrails, traceability frameworks, and confidence/quality algorithms to quantitatively assess, test, and validate LLM output reliability.

• Execute with Ambiguity: Transform vague, high-level concepts into functional, working code swiftly, prioritizing immediate execution over extensive architectural discussions.

• Set Engineering Standards: Develop stringent code review processes, testing protocols, and guidelines for the responsible and mature utilization of AI coding assistants within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Language Expertise: Proficient in TypeScript at an expert level, with a strong grasp of advanced patterns (e.g., Generics and Discriminated Unions) to enhance shipping efficiency.

• Backend Foundations: Extensive experience with Node.js, with a strong preference for Mastra or a proven background in creating custom state-machine-driven backend logic.

• Frontend Frameworks: Robust skills in modern web development; while our primary stack is SvelteKit, React or Vue experts with the ability to quickly adapt to new frameworks are highly encouraged to apply.

• Production AI Experience: Proven experience in deploying practical LLM-powered features or agents, along with a solid grasp of token costs, evaluations, and prompt safety.

• Pragmatic AI Tooling: Regular use of next-gen engineering tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) to automate boilerplate, coupled with the engineering discipline to manually resolve syntax issues promptly.

• Elite Full-Stack Generalist: Capability to navigate the entire web stack independently without being hindered by business-logic obstacles or basic syntax challenges.
