This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Establish the long-term technical vision for our marketing stack, which includes Marketo, event management, data pipelines, segmentation, and integrations with CRM/CDP/data warehouse.
• Take ownership of the architecture for the target state of the Marketo migration, encompassing data models, integration patterns, and governance standards.
• Assess and recommend tools, platforms, and patterns, such as event-driven architecture, standardized data contracts, and reusable campaign templates.
• Mentor mid-level and senior engineers on system design, coding practices, testing, and integration patterns within the marketing technology domain.
• Oversee the technical design and execution of the Marketo migration to the intended target state, which may involve a new workspace, new instance, or integrated platform.
• Create and implement an event-management capability that includes webinars, in-person, and virtual events, integrated with Marketo and other systems like registration tools, webinar platforms, and CRM.
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines that facilitate the movement and transformation of data between Marketo, CRM, data warehouse, and other marketing tools.
• Collaborate with APIs, webhooks, and streaming or batch integrations to enable real-time and scheduled data flows.
• Execute and enhance audience segmentation strategies in Marketo and related systems.
• Develop and sustain internal tools, interfaces, and services that assist marketing operations and event management, including configuration dashboards and admin tools.
• Contribute to the overall engineering standards, participate in code reviews, and engage in technical design discussions.
• Proficient or fluent in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering with a focus on full-stack development.
• Strong expertise in at least one modern backend stack, such as Node.js/TypeScript or Python, along with a contemporary frontend framework (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular).
• Practical experience in integrating with Marketo (or comparable marketing automation platforms like HubSpot, Pardot, etc.) through APIs, webhooks, and custom integrations.
• Experience in designing and constructing data pipelines (both batch and streaming) using tools like ETL/ELT frameworks (e.g., Airflow, dbt, or custom pipelines), data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift), and message queues or streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub).
• Strong grasp of relational data modeling, data quality, and data governance.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, authentication and authorization (OAuth, JWT), and integration best practices.
• Proficient in SQL and at least one cloud platform (AWS or GCP).
• Knowledge of Marketo concepts including programs, smart campaigns, smart lists, lead scoring, lifecycle stages, tokens, and program templates.
• Experience managing event flows, such as registrations, attendance tracking, no-show handling, and post-event nurturing actions.
• Understanding of segmentation strategies, contact governance, and consent/opt-in models.
