Tech Lead, HTML/JavaScript

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Serve as the technical expert for the team, offering guidance and support to junior developers;

• Perform comprehensive technical evaluations of existing project implementations;

• Influence the team by promoting best practices and making informed technical decisions;

• Contribute to ongoing innovation and the expansion of knowledge within the Android ecosystem;

• Possess extensive experience in Vanilla JavaScript, demonstrating complete proficiency in the language;

• Utilize advanced understanding of the event loop, garbage collection, and memory leak management;

• Conduct DOM manipulation within resource-constrained settings;

• Consider real-world hardware constraints such as limited CPU power and memory, along with compatibility with older browsers;

• Lead performance enhancements for low-end computing environments;

• Engage with microservices architecture and distributed systems;

• Collaborate with REST APIs and manage both synchronous and asynchronous communication;

• Utilize message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other similar technologies;

• Implement principles of idempotency, retry strategies with backoff, and circuit breaker patterns;

• Ensure system observability through effective logging, metrics gathering, and tracing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Vanilla JavaScript;

• Profound understanding of pure JavaScript, minimizing dependence on frameworks;

• Strong grasp of the event loop, garbage collection, and memory leak principles;

• Experience with DOM manipulation in constrained environments;

• Awareness of hardware limitations, including restricted CPU capabilities, reduced memory, and compatibility with older browsers;

• Proven track record in performance optimization for low-end devices;

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems;

• Knowledge of REST APIs and both synchronous and asynchronous communication methods;

• Experience with message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar alternatives;

• Understanding of concepts like idempotency, retry strategies, backoff mechanisms, and circuit breakers;

• Acquaintance with observability practices, including logging, metrics, and tracing.
