Tech Lead – Data & AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and develop scalable, dependable, and secure Microsoft Fabric solutions with an emphasis on data integration, data engineering, and advanced analytics.

• Oversee the complete implementation process of Microsoft Fabric, encompassing data pipelines, data governance, and self-service analytics.

• Work collaboratively with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to convert business needs into technical solutions.

• Establish and uphold best practices for the management and optimization of data storage, transformation, and reporting within the Microsoft Fabric environment.

• Ensure the smooth integration of Microsoft Fabric with current cloud and on-premises data systems (such as Azure, SQL Server, Power BI, etc.).

• Offer technical leadership and mentoring to the engineering team regarding Microsoft Fabric tools and capabilities.

• Manage the lifecycle of data assets from ingestion to reporting, assuring adherence to data governance and security standards.

• Remain informed about Microsoft Fabric updates, new features, and emerging trends, providing suggestions for ongoing enhancement.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing solutions utilizing Microsoft Fabric.

• Strong proficiency in data engineering, ETL processes, and data management employing Microsoft Fabric components (such as Data Factory, Synapse, etc.).

• Comprehensive knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and their integration with Microsoft Fabric.

• Expertise in data modeling, database design, and performance optimization strategies.

• Experience with Power BI, Power Query, and other analytical tools for data visualization and reporting.

• Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.

• Exceptional communication skills with the capability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Relevant certifications in Azure, Microsoft Fabric, or data architecture are advantageous.

• At least 8 years of experience in cloud data architecture or a related field.

• Practical experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, and Power BI in relation to Microsoft Fabric.

• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines for data deployments.
