Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete planning, execution, and delivery of machine learning applications deployed on the platform.

• Serve as the main liaison between customers and ML engineers, converting technical requirements from various gaming-related sectors into Machine Learning specifications.

• Demonstrate sound judgment in determining when to utilize pre-existing commercial solutions, adapt open-source solutions, or launch new applied science research initiatives based on product requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as an Engineering Manager within a client-facing AI/ML team, possessing a consulting-oriented mindset.

• Previous experience in fields with intricate multi-disciplinary teams such as robotics, smart grids, precision agriculture, game development, or aerospace.

• Experience leading a team of approximately 10 direct reports, establishing efficient workflows, and fostering high performance.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a conscientious approach to work.

• Capability to interpret customer requests and transform them into actionable technical requirement documents in partnership with ML engineers.

• Proficiency with the complete machine learning lifecycle, including data infrastructure, training, and deployment.

• Preferred background in visual computing, game engines, and real-time 3D rendering.

• Preferred familiarity with Python, Git, PyTorch, and the Unix shell.

• Familiarity with collaborative tools such as Jira/Confluence, Slack, a Git server, an experiment tracking framework, and a data dashboard.

• Nice to have: Experience with Adaptive or Lean methodologies.

• Agile or Scrum certifications are a plus.

• Familiarity with AWS and ETL orchestration is advantageous.

• Graduate degree in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Visual Computing, or a related field is required.
