Tech Lead – Agentic Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Offer technical leadership to a team of 1–3 innovative web developers.

• Facilitate essential AI-focused sessions on a weekly basis.

• Propel critical technical decisions, ensuring that solutions are both scalable and sustainable.

• Dedicate 60–70% of your time to hands-on development.

• Manage digital projects from initial planning to deployment, with an emphasis on automating scaffolding processes and enhancing headless CMS integrations.

• Collaborate closely with project managers to outline project scope, assess development efforts, manage technical risks, and address obstacles.

• Confirm that all deliverables meet the official Metajive test suite and adhere to established standards.

• Uphold coding standards for both human-written and AI-generated code.

• Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines along with secure deployment practices.

• Continuously assess emerging technologies for research and development initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 6 years of experience in software/full stack web development, including a minimum of 3 years in a technical lead or senior developer position.

• Experience within a creative agency setting is essential.

• Extensive, practical experience utilizing advanced AI tools (VS Code + Copilot + Claude Code) and shared prompt architectures.

• Familiarity with WebGL, GSAP, or similar libraries and advanced web animation techniques.

• Strong expertise in modern web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks, particularly React and Next.js (React Native is an advantage).

• Comprehensive understanding of PHP, databases, and LAMP server environments.

• Significant experience in scaffolding and building with headless CMS platforms (Craft, Statamic, WordPress, etc.).

• Proficient in version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and cloud services (AWS: EC2, S3, Lambda, Cloudfront, RDS).
