This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• In the role of Team Lead within the Renewables Studies group, you will oversee a team of engineers engaged in power systems modeling and analysis.
• As a Team Lead, you will act as a mentor and coach, fostering individual professional growth among team members.
• You will conduct and manage comprehensive electrical studies primarily focused on renewable facilities, aiding the Solar, BESS, Wind, and Substation design teams.
• Provide regulatory compliance services (PRC/MOD) throughout all design phases of projects, from initial conceptual design to testing and commissioning.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding the scope of renewable studies projects assigned to you and your team.
• Prepare various documents and reports related to projects, which includes assisting the group director with proposal cost estimates and budget reports.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution, with a preference for an electric power option.
• At least 5 years of pertinent engineering or field experience.
• FE certification is required, while PE certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in power system modeling software, including Steady State software: (PowerFactory; ETAP; SKM Power Tools; Easypower; Aspen; Windmil is a plus).
• Familiarity with System Protection & Arc Flash software: (ETAP; Power Factory; with CAPE, Aspen, SKM Power Tools; Easy Power as additional assets).
• Experience with grounding software: (CDEGS; WinIGS).
• Knowledge of Interconnection & Dynamic Modeling tools: (PSSe, PSLF).
• Competence with Cable Ampacity software: (Cymcap).
• Experience using Transient Studies software: (PSCAD).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and people skills.
