Team Lead Animator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.

📋 Description

• Oversee the animation team within Booming Games' Art department - guide in-house animators to produce innovative and technically remarkable 2D animations.

• Take charge of animation design and its implementation.

• Establish a clear animation direction for projects, aligning with game specifications and stakeholder feedback.

• Engage in various production milestones and collaborate with Project Managers to assess the effort required for your department and resources across different projects.

• Utilize technical expertise in the Spine tool to develop and enhance 2D animations.

• Collaborate with outsourced animation delivery and set standards for receiving animations from third-party studios.

• Leverage your creativity and technical skills to elevate the quality of animations at Booming Games.

• Investigate and implement generative tools to optimize the animation production process.

• Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the Company that fall within the Team Lead's area of expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as a game animator, preferably in the gaming or iGaming industry.

• Proficient in English to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members.

• Strong expertise in Spine, After Effects, and Photoshop.

• Demonstrated experience in producing high-quality character animations and pseudo-3D object animations.

• Solid capabilities in creating VFX while adhering to optimization constraints.

• A robust portfolio that highlights your animation abilities, creativity, and versatility.

• A genuine enthusiasm for gaming and a thorough understanding of the player experience.

• Ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Comfortable providing and receiving constructive feedback in a team context.

• Strong problem-solving skills to address both technical and artistic challenges.
