Teacher for the Visually Impaired

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Work in partnership with teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to enhance student success.

• Design and execute individualized educational programs that cater to the specific needs of students.

• Modify curriculum and tailor instruction to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.

• Establish a secure, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment for students with visual impairments.

• Deliver individualized and small-group teaching to enhance academic, social, and daily living skills.

• Track, evaluate, document, and communicate student progress, objectives, and outcomes.

• Keep precise records for attendance, grading, assessments, and compliance obligations.

• Foster strong relationships with students, families, and school personnel through efficient communication and cooperation.

• Utilize knowledge of special education methodologies, visual impairment support, curriculum, and educational technology.

• Remain informed about current educational best practices, special education regulations, and opportunities for professional growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate.

• Special Education certification (P-12).

• Certification in Visual Impairment.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant education field applicable to teaching roles.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Experience in a school setting is preferred but not mandatory.
