This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
β’ Offer consultative and compliance guidance in U.S. international tax, encompassing both inbound and outbound planning and structuring.
β’ Function as a primary international tax authority and resource for firm leadership and staff members.
β’ Review and approve U.S. federal tax returns, including those with intricate international elements.
β’ Cultivate and enhance client relationships, guaranteeing exceptional service and establishing trusted advisor status.
β’ Spearhead strategy, profitability, and growth initiatives for the international tax practice.
β’ Collaborate across various service lines to assist international clients effectively.
β’ Mentor and nurture team members through coaching, constructive feedback, and technical support.
β’ Engage in business development activities, aiming for an annual target of around $100K.
β’ Remain updated on changing international tax regulations and relay pertinent updates to clients and internal teams.
β’ Valid CPA license.
β’ Over 10 years of progressive experience in public accounting (preferably with large local, regional, or Big 4 firms), with at least 50% of that experience in a managerial role.
β’ Extensive knowledge of U.S. international tax, including inbound and outbound planning and compliance (e.g., Subpart F, GILTI, FTC, PFICs, FDII, BEAT, FIRPTA).
β’ Expertise in international tax forms (1120F, 5471, 5472, 1118, 8865, 8858, 8621, 8992, 8993, 8833), 3520, 8854.
β’ Solid understanding of core U.S. tax compliance, with the capability to review and sign tax returns.
β’ Experience in advising corporate and individual international clients.
β’ Collaborative leadership style with a hands-on, client-centered approach.
β’ Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex issues.
