This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Manage and oversee a varied portfolio of tax engagements.
• Lead a team of tax professionals to ensure the timely and accurate completion of tax returns.
• Offer strategic tax planning guidance to clients.
• Build and sustain robust client relationships.
• Collaborate with the partner to provide planning opportunities and tax solutions for clients.
• Play a significant role in business development efforts by identifying new growth opportunities and expanding our client base.
• A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is mandatory.
• A CPA or EA license is essential.
• A minimum of 7-8+ years of experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns is required.
• A master's degree in accounting, tax, or a related area is preferred.
• Oversee tax compliance, planning, and consulting services for high net worth individuals, families, estates, and trusts.
• Manage and review intricate tax returns, including those for corporations, partnerships, individuals, gifts, estates, and trusts.
• Conduct tax research and remain current with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Develop innovative solutions for complex tax challenges, utilizing a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations.
• Implement and uphold stringent quality control measures throughout all phases of client engagements.
• Identify potential improvements in firm processes and take proactive measures to correct operational inefficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards for existing clients to enhance engagement and drive additional business opportunities.
• Expand the firm’s client base by networking within the business community and leveraging personal and professional connections.
• Mentor, train, and nurture junior team members to promote their professional growth and development.
• Collaborate with partners and senior managers on complex tax issues and firm initiatives.
