This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Supervise and oversee a varied portfolio of tax engagements.
• Lead a team of tax professionals to ensure the timely and precise completion of tax returns.
• Offer strategic tax planning advice to clients.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with clients.
• Collaborate with the partner to deliver planning opportunities and tax solutions to clients.
• Play an essential role in business development efforts by identifying new growth opportunities and expanding the client base.
• A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is mandatory.
• A CPA or EA license is essential.
• 7-8+ years of experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns is required.
• A master's degree in accounting, tax, or a related field is preferred.
• Manage tax compliance, planning, and consulting services for high-net-worth individuals, families, estates, and trusts.
• Oversee and review complex tax returns, including those for corporations, partnerships, individuals, gifts, estates, and trusts.
• Conduct tax research and remain current with federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Develop innovative solutions for complex tax challenges, utilizing a comprehensive understanding of tax laws and regulations.
• Implement and uphold rigorous quality control measures throughout all phases of client engagements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the firm and take proactive measures to address operational inefficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards for existing clients to enhance engagement and generate additional business opportunities.
• Broaden the firm's client base by networking within the business community and utilizing personal and professional connections.
• Mentor, train, and nurture junior team members, promoting their professional development and growth.
• Collaborate with partners and senior managers on intricate tax matters and firm initiatives.
