Senior Tax Associate – Principal Tax Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver compliance and consulting services to BT Partners

• Conduct technical reviews of intricate individual tax returns along with all necessary supporting tax documentation

• Manage various engagements that provide proactive tax planning and strategic consulting

• Enhance technical expertise by applying advancements to complex scenarios

• Oversee the client experience as the main point of contact for approximately 75 clients

• Commit to your professional growth both individually and through participation in firm-wide learning and development initiatives

• Foster the growth and development of team members by adhering to the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, assisting associates in achieving their professional objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, law, or a related business degree

• CPA or EA is highly preferred, with eligibility for CPA required

• Over four (4) years of experience in reviewing and planning tax returns for high net worth individuals

• Experience in multi-state tax compliance for individuals, including knowledge of composite, withholding, and pass-through entity taxation

• Proven experience in providing federal tax compliance and consulting services within a professional services environment

• At least two (2) years of supervisory experience, including mentoring and advising associates is preferred

• Strong proficiency in CCH Axcess, PDFlyer, and Microsoft Suite

• Preference for candidates eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
