This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Preparation of the Annual IAS 12 calculation.
• Preparation of quarterly tax provisions.
• Development of all required documentation, including the Effective Rate Reconciliation and Deferred Tax Roll forward, in collaboration with international team members.
• Preparation and reconciliation of deferred tax asset calculations along with analysis of income tax payable accounts.
• Assessment and calculations for IFRIC 23 Uncertainty over Income Tax Treatments (FIN 48 in ASC 740-10).
• Liaison with auditors as necessary.
• Support for quarterly and annual internal and external SOX control documentation.
• Management and review of US federal and state income tax compliance filings prepared by a third-party provider.
• Calculation and preparation of workpapers to support book/tax differences reported on Schedule M-3, which will be provided to third parties.
• Collection of all other supporting workpapers necessary for federal and state income tax filings, including A&A support, FinCEN/BSA (FBAR) information, and Boycott Information.
• Preparation of quarterly estimated tax payments and annual extension, along with coordination of payment execution through check, ACH, or electronic filing.
• Preparation of approximately 65 city income tax filings utilizing BNA software.
• Cash tax forecasting.
• Research and respond to notices received from various jurisdictions as needed.
• Management of the overall tax compliance calendar.
• Primary contact for all US federal and state income tax audits.
• Management of all Information Document Requests (IDRs) issued by the IRS.
• Coordination with external advisors as needed.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; Certified Public Accountant required, with a preference for post-graduate study in Taxation.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in a Big 4 firm, regional accounting firm, or corporate tax department.
• Strong knowledge of income tax accounting (IFRS and ASC 740).
• In-depth understanding of US Federal and state income tax compliance.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse range of colleagues, executives, and directors.
• Capability to perform tax research and handle ad hoc requests.
• Experience with Oracle ERP is preferred, along with familiarity with BNA tax software.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
