This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Identify, design, and implement strategies to recover accumulated or out-of-period ICMS credits, including ICMS-ST, credits associated with fixed assets, energy, transportation, and special regimes.
• Develop and structure intricate tax planning and fiscal models aimed at interstate operations, logistics, and supply chain restructuring.
• Continuously monitor legal precedents (STF — Supreme Federal Court, STJ — Superior Court of Justice, and State Administrative Courts) to formulate and defend innovative theses and creative methods for tax efficiency.
• Oversee the complete execution of recovery projects, ensuring the delivery of reports, validation of digital files (such as SPED Fiscal, CAT 42, e-Ressarcimento, etc.), and coordination with senior management.
• Evaluate the legal certainty of proposed operations, balancing the pursuit of tax efficiency (creativity) with the governance and compliance mandated by law.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• A postgraduate degree or specialization in Tax Law or Tax Management is a notable advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in leading tax consulting projects or holding corporate management roles with a focus on indirect taxes (ICMS).
• Profound understanding of ICMS legislation (state regulations, ICMS/CONFAZ agreements) and mechanisms for the recognition and monetization of credits.
• Exceptional communication skills to convey complex tax scenarios into executive presentations and clear reports for decision-makers.
