This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Proficient in the preparation and review of Form 1041 fiduciary income tax returns, possessing a solid grasp of trust and estate tax regulations.
• Capable of interpreting trust agreements and evaluating associated tax implications.
• Review, authorize, and finalize intricate individual tax returns, ensuring precision, adherence to regulations, and defensible tax positions.
• Act as a primary liaison between EP and our external tax preparation service provider, fostering relationship management to ensure effective communication, timely follow-ups, and resolution of tax preparation and workflow issues.
• Oversee daily outsourced tax preparation activities, ensuring that deliverables align with firm standards for accuracy, completeness, and client satisfaction.
• Engage in internal strategy discussions for clients, collaborating with advisory teams and planning departments to meet tax service goals.
• Manage the coordination and integration of tax services, analyses, and departmental projects.
• Prepare tax projections, net worth analyses, cash flow statements, investment planning documents, insurance summaries, and other tools for wealth planning engagements.
• Actively participate in firm-wide initiatives aimed at developing tax services, fostering firm relationships, and supporting business development and client retention efforts.
• Develop tailored and comprehensive personal and business financial plans.
• Gather data for financial planning through client questionnaires, clarify and verify client responses, and enter information into the financial planning system.
• Utilize financial planning software to create financial plans and review them with Financial Advisors.
• Generate targeted action plans for clients based on the specific recommendations outlined in their financial plans.
• Create, assess, and input data into spreadsheets to analyze specific financial and/or business planning issues.
• Collaborate with the financial planning team to regularly evaluate the existing software used by planners to identify necessary changes and upgrades to enhance client opportunities.
• Serve as a public representative of the accounting department.
• Engage in firm marketing activities, including client and prospective client seminars, writing articles and blogs, and other related initiatives.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, executing business functions with a focus on consistency, quality, and compliance.
• Familiarity with tax preparation, ideally with over 5 years of experience.
• Licensed as a Certified Public Accountant or Enrolled Agent.
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated experience with CRM software.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness and experience in participating in public speaking events and prospect meetings.
• Highly detail-oriented, with excellent follow-through and reliability.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude, self-motivated, and demonstrate sound ethical judgment.
• Strong client relations and communication abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently and exercise discretion without direct supervision.
