This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• Provide post-sales technical assistance for Arista Datacenter and Campus products and solutions.
• Address customer product inquiries through phone or email communication.
• Resolve customer issues that arise during installation, operation, maintenance, product use, or compatibility concerns.
• Diagnose problems with hardware and software applications and suggest appropriate corrective measures.
• Replicate customer network problems in a dedicated lab setting when necessary.
• Keep a record of customer interactions and recurring technical issues to aid product quality initiatives and development.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP and traditional networking technologies is essential.
• Familiarity with key networking concepts and protocols, including ARP, BGP, DHCP, Flow Control, ICMP, IGMP, IPv4 & IPv6, LACP, LLDP, OpenFlow, OSPF, PIM, QOS, RIP, Sflow, SNMP, and STP.
• Experience with server virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, KVM, etc.
• Proficiency in networking troubleshooting tools like IXIA, tcpdump, and Wireshark.
• Programming or scripting skills in languages such as C++, Java, Python, Perl, JavaScript, or shell.
• Ability to navigate Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.) and software-defined networking (SDN) concepts.
• A minimum educational qualification of a BS in a technical field, preferably in Computer Science or Networking.
• Relevant industry certifications are preferred.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
