This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Develop, revise, and sustain technical specifications for the Infotainment subsystem (and Cabin Thermal & Safety, when applicable) throughout the various production stages.
• Facilitate requirements gathering through stakeholder interviews and workshops.
• Employ IBM DOORS for managing requirements and ensuring traceability.
• Conduct system requirements analysis utilizing recognized engineering methodologies.
• Collaborate in designing and developing infotainment hardware and software systems.
• Assist in system modeling and architectural tasks.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Design & Release Engineers (DREs) and System Architects.
• Collaborate across disciplines with diverse engineering teams to guarantee proper hardware-software integration.
• Detect, analyze, and rectify hardware and software system failures.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and resolve technical challenges.
• Manage workflows, tasks, and issue tracking through IBM Engineering Workflow Management (RTC) and JIRA.
• Play a significant role in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for infotainment components.
• Execute comprehensive testing to confirm system functionality and dependability.
• Carry out DFMEA to pinpoint and mitigate potential design risks.
• Produce and maintain detailed documentation of diagnosed issues, implemented solutions, and established requirements.
• Prepare and revise technical documentation, including specifications and reports.
• Bachelor's degree (or Engineering degree) in relevant fields such as: Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering.
• Intermediate level in Requirements Engineering (1–3 years of experience in defining, managing, and eliciting requirements).
• Intermediate proficiency in Requirements Management using IBM DOORS (1–3 years of experience).
• Intermediate experience in Workflow Control with IBM Engineering Workflow Management (RTC) (1 year of experience).
• Intermediate level in Issue Tracking with JIRA (1–2 years of experience).
• Intermediate understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) (1–3 years of experience).
• Intermediate skills in Diagnostics and Troubleshooting (HW/SW) (1–3 years of experience).
• Intermediate knowledge of Systems Engineering Methodologies (1–3 years of experience).
• Intermediate familiarity with Vehicle Communication Protocols (CAN, LIN) (1–3 years of experience).
• Intermediate knowledge of Embedded Systems (1–3 years of experience).
• Basic to Intermediate level in DFMEA Analysis (1–2 years of experience).
• Basic to Intermediate familiarity with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) (1 year of experience).
• Basic experience with CATIA V5 (1 year of experience in model visualization or review).
• Intermediate knowledge of Apple CarPlay / Android Auto (1–3 years of experience in integration or validation).
• Basic understanding of Programming Languages (Python, C/C++) (1 year of experience for scripting or automation).
• Basic knowledge of Vehicle Safety Regulations (1 year of experience).
