This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Develop, revise, and manage technical specifications for the Infotainment subsystem (and Cabin Thermal & Safety, where applicable) during all production stages.
• Facilitate requirements gathering through interviews and workshops with stakeholders.
• Employ IBM DOORS for effective requirements management and traceability.
• Conduct system requirements analysis using recognized engineering practices.
• Collaborate on the design and development of infotainment hardware and software systems.
• Assist in system modeling and architectural tasks.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Design & Release Engineers (DREs) and System Architects.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless hardware–software integration.
• Identify, assess, and resolve hardware and software system malfunctions.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and rectify technical challenges.
• Leverage IBM Engineering Workflow Management (RTC) and JIRA for managing workflows, tasks, and issue tracking.
• Play an integral role in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for infotainment components.
• Execute comprehensive testing to ensure system functionality and reliability.
• Conduct DFMEA to identify and reduce potential design risks.
• Generate and maintain thorough documentation of diagnosed problems, implemented solutions, and defined requirements.
• Prepare and refresh technical documents, including specifications and reports.
• Bachelor’s or Engineering degree in relevant fields such as Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering.
• Intermediate proficiency in Requirements Engineering (3–5 years of experience in defining, managing, and eliciting requirements).
• Intermediate proficiency in Requirements Management using IBM DOORS (3–5 years of experience).
• Intermediate proficiency in Workflow Control with IBM Engineering Workflow Management (RTC) (2–3 years of experience).
• Intermediate proficiency in Issue Tracking with JIRA (2–3 years of experience).
• Intermediate proficiency in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) (3–5 years of experience).
• Intermediate proficiency in Diagnostics and Troubleshooting (HW/SW) (3–5 years of experience).
• Intermediate proficiency in Systems Engineering Methodologies (3–5 years of experience).
• Intermediate knowledge of Vehicle Communication Protocols (CAN, LIN) (3–5 years of experience).
• Intermediate understanding of Embedded Systems (3–5 years of experience).
• Basic to Intermediate proficiency in DFMEA Analysis (1–5 years of experience).
• Basic to Intermediate knowledge of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) (1–3 years of experience).
• Basic proficiency in CATIA V5 (1–3 years of experience in model visualization or review).
• Intermediate knowledge of Apple CarPlay / Android Auto (2–5 years of experience in integration or validation).
• Basic proficiency in Programming Languages (Python, C/C++) (1–3 years of experience for scripting or automation).
• Basic knowledge of Vehicle Safety Regulations (1–3 years of experience).
