This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• The Engineer will collaborate with a field team comprising Project Management, Systems Engineers, System Technologists, Construction Managers, and Customer Service Managers, taking charge of the technical elements of the designated project until system acceptance.
• Responsible for the design and execution of the radio network, which includes infrastructure, subscribers, mobile backhaul, as well as WAN and CEN networks.
• Engage in extensive customer and consultant interactions, which involve conducting customer design reviews, facilitating customer-witnessed staging and acceptance testing events, performing coverage acceptance testing, implementing live system upgrades, and leading troubleshooting efforts.
• Oversee system build-out, configuration, and acceptance testing in both laboratory staging and field settings.
• Manage live system cutovers and upgrades.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical field along with 3+ years of engineering or technical experience, or alternatively, 5 years of engineering or technical experience.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in the U.S. on an indefinite basis.
• Familiarity with P25 Land Mobile Radio terminology and two-way subscriber radio provisioning techniques.
• Proficient knowledge of systems including VMware ESXI, Linux, and Microsoft operating systems.
• Understanding of IP networking, network design methodologies, and troubleshooting (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3, MPLS).
• Relevant certifications through CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA-Junos, Nokia NRS1, CCNA, or similar are advantageous.
