Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Facilitate the efficient execution of ABB’s Service offerings

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and ABB protocols to surpass customer expectations

• Provide specialized technical assistance and address complex challenges within your area of expertise

• Collaborate with clients and ABB sales teams to comprehend requirements and uncover opportunities

• Update and manage ABB control system hardware and software

• Lead the assurance, integration, and testing of system components

• Deliver system enhancements and new products while working closely with stakeholders

• Support the preparation of quotations and identify potential sales opportunities through customer engagements

• Advise clients on maintenance strategies, site planning, operational methods, control strategies, and cybersecurity measures

• Oversee modifications to systems, spare parts inventory, and coordination of ad-hoc work scopes

• Compile reports from site visits, ensure follow-up actions, and maintain effective communication with internal teams and clients

• Manage shifting priorities, align customer expectations, and promote continuous improvement

• Strong commitment to safety and integrity

• Solid foundational knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, industrial networks, and cybersecurity

• Eagerness to learn, innovate, and operate independently

• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities

• Self-driven with effective planning and follow-through skills

• Adaptable and willing to travel to customer locations

• Practical, hands-on experience is a plus

• Offshore certification is a plus

• Familiarity with ABB 800xA systems is advantageous

• Awareness of cybersecurity and functional safety is beneficial

• Understanding of process control and loop performance is beneficial
