Systems and Network Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee, maintain, and provide support for Windows and Linux server infrastructure along with enterprise systems.

• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, system access controls, and identity-related services.

• Execute system upgrades, patching, configuration alterations, lifecycle maintenance, and controlled change operations for servers and core platforms.

• Monitor server health, performance, availability, and capacity; respond to alerts, and proactively resolve issues prior to any service impact.

• Manage and support the LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, firewall, switching, and routing infrastructure.

• Maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, encompassing Azure virtual machines, networking, storage, identity, and security controls.

• Provide support for Hyper-V virtualized environments and core virtual infrastructure services.

• Monitor performance, availability, and security of network, cloud, and virtual infrastructure to guarantee stable and reliable operations.

• Assist with backup, restoration, backup verification, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes for critical systems.

• Deliver high-level technical escalation support for infrastructure, server, network, virtualization, Linux, and cloud-related incidents.

• Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to deploy technical solutions, infrastructure improvements, and service enhancements.

• Adhere to change management processes for infrastructure changes, maintenance, upgrades, and planned maintenance activities.

• Keep technical documentation, procedures, configuration records, and diagrams up to date.

• Aid in security hardening, patch compliance, vulnerability remediation, access reviews, compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Systems Administration, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in systems, network, or infrastructure administration.

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Azure administration.

• Relevant technical certifications.

• Experience with administering Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.

• Strong troubleshooting skills for IT hardware, operating systems, and infrastructure.

• Experience managing Windows server environments and supporting core enterprise systems.

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure administration, Azure virtual machines, and identity-related services.

• Experience in supporting VPN, firewalls, switches, wireless infrastructure, and core network services.

• Knowledge of virtualization technologies, including Hyper-V.

• Experience with backup and recovery solutions, system monitoring tools, patching, and infrastructure lifecycle maintenance.

• Experience in administering Linux server environments.

• Proficient in scripting and automation, preferably with PowerShell and basic Linux shell scripting.

• Experience with SAN/NAS and performance tuning.
