Senior Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Act as the main Level 3 escalation point—leading and directing the troubleshooting and strategic resolution of intricate network incidents and significant outages.

• Oversee network implementation, migration, upgrade, and infrastructure enhancement projects while ensuring performance, scalability, security, and minimal disruption to business operations.

• Design, deploy, maintain, and optimize enterprise network environments, including routers, switches, wireless networks, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, site-to-site connectivity, and hybrid cloud networking solutions (Azure and AWS).

• Spearhead vulnerability remediation and assist with infrastructure audit and compliance efforts.

• Perform network assessments, root cause analyses (RCA), capacity planning, performance tuning, and security reviews to enhance reliability and safeguard client environments.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, network diagrams, and knowledge base resources.

• Engage in client and vendor support meetings to offer technical recommendations, assist with IT planning, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful outcomes.

• Take ownership of client environments by proactively identifying issues, gaps, and opportunities for enhancement, independently driving solutions, and establishing SOPs and processes that boost operational efficiency and service delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of substantial experience in network engineering, with a focus on troubleshooting, infrastructure operations, and deployment initiatives.

• Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal.

• Outstanding problem-solving abilities with a customer-centric approach.

• Self-driven, reliable, and committed to thorough documentation.

• Relevant certifications (CCNP, PCNSE, NSE/FCP, Azure Network Engineer Associate, AWS Advanced Networking, or similar certifications).

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.

• Familiarity with networking technologies (Cisco, Extreme, Sophos, Fortinet, Aruba, etc.).

• Knowledge of wireless networking solutions (Extreme, Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, etc.).

• Background in desktop support (PC/Mac).

• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V/KVM/XEN/Azure Stack).

• Proficient with Office 365 and/or Google Workspaces.

• Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Management.

• Knowledge of firewall technologies (Sophos, FortiGate, WatchGuard, HA pair configurations).

• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange server, SharePoint server, SCCM, etc.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, and AVD).

• Background in backup solutions (Veeam, Datto, etc.).
