This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Convert business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring that all system requirements accurately represent established business processes and fully support all elements of the functional business requirements.
• Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and other project team members to communicate requirements and enhance system implementations.
• Act as a representative of Rising during client and partner meetings regarding system implementations.
• Gain subject matter expertise in one or more areas of integration between internal systems and external systems.
• Provide production support by investigating issues, performing root cause analysis, and reporting detailed findings as necessary.
• Create use cases and process/data flow diagrams.
• Assist in the creation of test plans and relevant training materials.
• Conduct system reviews to identify enhancements that align with company strategies and impact key performance indicators.
• Train other Professional Services team members to facilitate the transfer of subject matter knowledge.
• A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, preferably in a field related to IT.
• At least two years of experience in a business systems analyst role or a comparable position.
• Experience in workers’ compensation insurance, group health insurance, medical bill review, or relevant healthcare industry systems and processes is essential.
• Proficiency in requirements analysis, including engaging with business users to establish clear scope and contributing to cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with experience in applying these skills to address application design challenges and technical issues.
• Familiarity with database and data modeling concepts and tools.
• Knowledge of business-to-business data transactions and experience in drafting detailed mapping instructions for data transfer between different models.
• Experience in analyzing XML or EDI messages.
• Solid understanding of SQL and database concepts to assist in data analysis.
• Ability to convey technical information clearly and engage in collaborative meetings with representatives from both internal departments and clients.
• Proficient in using computerized spreadsheet, relational database, and word processing software.
• Capable of processing computer data, formatting, and generating reports.
• Experience in creating detailed visual models to support requirements, including data flow and workflow diagrams.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, demands, and timelines.
• Ability to quantify outcomes in terms of cost savings and key performance indicators.
• Proven track record of proactively identifying opportunities for improvement in systems and methodologies.
