This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise the setup, administration, and enhancement of the Microsoft 365 suite, which encompasses Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Defender, Azure AD / Entra ID, and Power Platform.
• Conduct regular audits of systems to ensure they adhere to contemporary best practices in design and operation.
• Oversee mobile device management using Intune, including endpoint policies, configurations, package deployments, and provisioning.
• Manage Exchange Online, focusing on mail security measures such as SPF, DMARC, DKIM, alongside spam, malware, and phishing protection.
• Implement Single Sign-On for enterprise applications utilizing Microsoft Azure AD / Entra ID.
• Administer servers including the latest versions of Windows Server, Linux, and appliance-based virtual machines.
• Design, deploy, and manage Hyper-V virtualization systems in on-premises data centers.
• Design, deploy, and administer cloud-based virtualization environments, including Microsoft Azure.
• Deploy, manage, and analyze infrastructure-wide monitoring tools to ensure optimal system performance.
• Design and maintain internal networks for both data centers and branch offices.
• Manage Cisco / Meraki firewalls, routers, and switches.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues while analyzing the root causes of failures to ensure design resilience.
• Handle circuit management and collaborate with vendors as needed.
• Manage internal telephony systems via Cisco and Teams.
• Develop and maintain strategies for Disaster Recovery (DR), High Availability (HA), and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) for essential systems.
• Ensure all platforms are established with suitable backup and archiving strategies.
• Conduct periodic testing and drills to verify the effectiveness of DR, HA, and BCP plans.
• Support the IT security team with daily security and compliance tasks.
• Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of the vulnerability management program’s patching processes.
• Manage multi-factor authentication technologies.
• Ensure that processes and systems align with existing compliance and regulatory standards.
• Design, develop, and maintain IT integrations such as HR IS platforms to Microsoft Azure AD / Entra ID.
• Implement process automation, including scripting for user onboarding and offboarding.
• Serve as an escalation point for the help desk team to assist with complex support tickets.
• Aid in the design and implementation of automated configurations for both Windows and Mac endpoints.
• Manage branch office operations, including networking, printing, and physical security.
• Collaborate with various business and IT team members to ensure all designs meet established requirements.
• Create documentation of processes and knowledge base articles for systems as they are designed and implemented.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, programming, information security, or a related discipline.
• Equivalent professional experience or certifications may be accepted.
• 3 - 5 years of experience in systems administration, with a strong emphasis on the M365 E5 suite.
• Experience in team mentoring or leadership roles.
• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Expert-level knowledge of fundamental IT technologies such as DNS, DHCP, Certificates, SMTP, SNMP, SSL, SSH, DMARC, DKIM, SPF, web and application hosting, virtualization, and physical security.
• In-depth understanding of Cisco networking, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Experience with integration development and maintenance, including scripting and programming.
• Proficient in Hyper-V virtualization and Azure cloud services.
• Expertise in Disaster Recovery (DR), High Availability (HA), and Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
• Familiarity with Mac management.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficient, or willing to become proficient with, a wide range of platforms and tools.
