System Architect – Infrastructure Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Evaluate security configurations across Windows Server, Linux, networking, Azure, and Microsoft 365 in accordance with established best practice standards.

• Design and execute remediation strategies to rectify identified security vulnerabilities within the infrastructure.

• Address permission and ACL challenges, including file and folder access issues, while ensuring service availability is not compromised.

• Enhance the security posture of Azure and Microsoft 365, which includes resolving findings highlighted by Microsoft security tools and maintaining Microsoft Secure Score.

• Fortify identity management, ransomware resilience, and end-user security measures throughout the broader technology landscape.

• Evaluate and elevate data protection protocols, including DLP configurations and comprehensive data loss prevention strategies.

• Develop and sustain process documentation as controls, procedures, and operational practices evolve.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in PowerShell with a strong inclination to automate repetitive tasks whenever feasible.

• Significant experience in Windows, Linux, networking, and enterprise infrastructure settings.

• Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365, especially in areas such as Microsoft Defender, Threat Hunting, and Microsoft Purview.

• Comprehensive understanding of cloud and infrastructure security, particularly within the Microsoft Azure environment.

• Capability to interpret technical standards, evaluate existing controls, and implement enhancements in a practical manner.

• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to create technical documentation, process instructions, and progress reports.
