This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
β’ In the role of System Architect, you will take charge of designing and implementing comprehensive architectural frameworks that are in line with our business objectives.
β’ You will collaborate closely with business owners and Release Train Engineers (RTEs), ensuring a clear traceability from strategy to capabilities and portfolio items, while providing data-driven insights to align delivery with business outcomes. Your technology solutions will be scalable, efficient, and adaptable to the changing demands of our organization.
β’ Collaborate with business owners and RTEs to establish scope, success metrics, milestones, risks, and transition-to-run processes; ensure traceability from strategy to capabilities and portfolio items using Jira/Jira Align.
β’ Conduct impact and risk analysis: maintain an up-to-date repository for dependencies, lifecycle, cost drivers, regulatory concerns, and blast radius; present options and trade-offs while identifying early signals of dependency and impact ahead of PI Planning.
β’ Provide data-driven, AI-aware guidance: advocate for telemetry, data governance, and practical AI practices where they add value; consistently promote evidence-based decision-making across product lines.
β’ Standards and enablement: curate reference capabilities, information, and integration principles; mentor solution/software architects to align with strategic direction and enhance reuse.
β’ Value and visibility: assist in defining and regularly reporting outcome measures (e.g., lead time, reliability/SLOs, risk mitigation, cost avoidance, adoption) to ensure clear visibility for executives.
β’ Expertise in system architecture with an emphasis on capability mapping, target-state design, incremental road-mapping, and operating-model design.
β’ Practical experience with architectural tools; link strategy and capabilities to SAFe/Lean Portfolio processes (themes/OKRs β epics β features) and support PI Planning with architectural context.
β’ Knowledge of information and data governance, along with risk, compliance, and lifecycle management: information architecture, data lineage, ownership/stewardship, and privacy; assess technology lifecycle and obsolescence, vendor risks, regulatory issues, and multi-region constraints.
β’ Experience in platform and technology assessment with a focus on AI and analytics: evaluate cloud/platform options and integration/eventing/observability solutions; govern decisions driven by telemetry and support AI adoption.
β’ Proficiency in change management, communication, and building credibility: deliver clear executive communication and decision-making frameworks; transform ambiguity into actionable roadmaps; certifications in cloud architecture are a plus.
β’ A minimum English proficiency level of B2 (Upper Intermediate) to facilitate effective communication with global teams.
