System Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee our bare-metal virtualization frameworks, create highly available storage networks, automate deployment processes, and protect our corporate parameters from internal workstations to high-performance web routing.

• Design, scale, and uphold our bare-metal hypervisors and highly available storage systems, ensuring optimal data integrity and low-latency performance.

• Maintain complete visibility over server health, application metrics, and infrastructure clusters, actively seeking out system anomalies and addressing bottlenecks.

• Serve as the primary defense against unexpected downtime, adeptly troubleshooting system errors, server malfunctions, and physical switch or routing problems with precision.

• Implement stringent firewall rule sets, manage complex network routing loops, conduct vulnerability assessments, and uphold access controls to facilitate smooth internal and external audits.

• Oversee internal user environments, create clear guidelines for user access policies, manage technology procurement, and support the IT infrastructure that secures our global team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in managing distributed infrastructure, network nodes, and bare-metal server architectures under real-world conditions.

• Experience or familiarity with ISMS audits and vulnerability management, ensuring all documentation is thorough, organized, and secure.

• This is not a passive 9-to-5 position. Networks operate beyond time zones, and outages must be addressed immediately. You must be available 7 days a week to serve as our primary infrastructure responder.

• Highly self-motivated and exceptionally organized; capable of executing intricate hardware or software procurement processes and upgrade patches while keeping track of every asset and license.
