📋 Description

• Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team, contributing to the business's direction through financial insights and informed decision-making.

• Collaborate with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team on corporate strategy, growth initiatives, and long-term planning.

• Simplify complex financial data into clear recommendations, trade-offs, and actionable insights.

• Cultivate trusted relationships with the Board of Directors, investors, lenders, and external stakeholders.

• Assess strategic opportunities through the lens of financial returns, capital efficiency, and long-term enterprise value enhancement.

• Establish financial frameworks that facilitate quicker and more informed decision-making throughout the organization.

• Formulate long-term financial plans that align with Maev's ambitious growth targets.

• Analyze investments in product innovation, customer acquisition, omnichannel expansion, supply chain, technology, and organizational growth.

• Direct thoughtful capital allocation by weighing growth, profitability, cash generation, and long-term value creation.

• Lead scenario planning and financial modeling for significant strategic decisions.

• Consistently identify opportunities to enhance business performance and unlock the next phase of profitable growth.

• Collaborate closely with leaders in Growth, Brand, Omnichannel, Operations, Supply Chain, and Product to ensure financial insights guide smarter business decisions and profitable growth.

• Provide financial leadership in customer acquisition economics (CAC, LTV, and payback), subscription performance, and retention metrics.

• Analyze profitability across DTC, Amazon, marketplaces, retail, and wholesale channels.

• Shape pricing strategies, promotional effectiveness, and channel profitability.

• Optimize contribution margins, inventory investments, and working capital management.

• Assist leaders in linking operational decisions to financial outcomes, enabling quicker and more effective decision-making across the organization.

• Oversee FP&A, accounting, financial reporting, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management functions.

• Ensure robust internal controls, audit readiness, tax coordination, and banking relationships.

• Continue to advance financial systems, reporting frameworks, and operational processes to enhance visibility, accuracy, and scalability.

• Develop forecasting and planning capabilities that offer greater predictability and support strategic decision-making.

• Continuously identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and fortify financial operations.

• Mentor, develop, and empower a high-performing finance team while consistently raising performance standards.

• Promote a culture of accountability, curiosity, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Build strong interdepartmental relationships and position Finance as a trusted strategic partner across all departments.

• Uphold high standards while fostering an environment where teams can make informed and confident decisions.

• Contribute to strengthening the leadership team by providing thoughtful perspectives, healthy challenges, and a company-first mentality in every discussion.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of progressive finance leadership experience, including executive roles within fast-growing consumer businesses.

• Proven experience in scaling a consumer products company from approximately $100M to $150M+ in revenue.

• Background in physical consumer products, with a strong preference for consumables or CPG.

• Extensive experience supporting growth-stage direct-to-consumer subscription businesses.

• Significant omnichannel experience, including DTC, marketplaces (Amazon preferred), and physical retail.

• Exceptional executive presence and proven experience collaborating directly with CEOs, Boards of Directors, investors, lenders, and external financial partners.

• Seasoned operator with a natural ability to link financial insights to business strategy.

• Strong collaborator willing to challenge ideas in pursuit of the best outcome for the business.

• Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing finance teams.

• In-depth expertise in forecasting, financial modeling, capital planning, and business planning.
