Sustainability Compliance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage with suppliers across various levels to collect sustainability data, including details about product material components.

• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the data collected; make updates to reflect pertinent changes within the organization.

• Oversee sustainability certification processes, collaborating with internal teams to fulfill requirements, prepare necessary documentation, and facilitate audits.

• Conduct assessments of social and environmental risks associated with suppliers.

• Partner with the Supplier Quality team to guarantee the completion of social and environmental audits for suppliers.

• Collaborate with suppliers to pursue Science Based Targets in alignment with Humanscale’s SBTi approved engagement objectives.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in partnership with our factories, suppliers, and engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A strong passion for sustainable innovation.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in sustainability compliance.

• A Bachelor’s degree (minimum) or a Master’s degree (preferred) in a relevant field such as material science, industrial design, engineering, sustainable manufacturing, or environmental science.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Persistence and creativity in encouraging and obtaining responses from others.

• Capability to synthesize complex information, conduct analyses, and prepare documentation.

• Highly organized with a strong aptitude for systems thinking.

• Familiarity with manufacturing supply chains.
