This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• In the role of Director of Compliance, which encompasses both Customs Compliance and Account Management, you will lead a remote-first team that collaborates with a network of licensed customs broker partners and ABI users across the US and Canada to maximize the platform's value.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in customs compliance, acting as an escalation point for internal stakeholders including Operations, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Engineering.
• Oversee a remote team of Broker Partner Success (BPS) and Post-Entry Analysts, including the coordination of weekend, holiday, and ongoing time zone coverage plans to ensure business continuity throughout the US and Canada.
• Facilitate pre- and post-entry activities, which include liaising with importers and broker partners to ensure timely and accurate clearance, managing exception audits, addressing invoice/statement escalations, responding to CBP/CBSA requests, and undertaking special projects such as tariff planning.
• Oversee the tracking of PSCs/Protests in the US and Corrections/Adjustments in Canada.
• Conduct regular meetings (weekly, biweekly, monthly) with broker partners and ABI users.
• Perform additional duties that may arise during regular business operations.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in customs brokerage, trade compliance, account management, or a combination thereof, preferably within enterprise-level customs brokerage operations.
• Must possess a valid U.S. Customs Broker License issued by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) or an equivalent such as a Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation from the NCBFAA.
• Proficient in ACE or similar data and analytics tools to provide data-driven solutions.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate and simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences at various levels within an organization.
