Survey Technician – Heavy Civil Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Carry out accurate field layouts according to construction blueprints.

• Precisely layout intricate structures.

• Perform layout and as-built surveys for penstock water conveyance systems.

• Execute comprehensive topographical surveys.

• Use CAD software for calculating quantities.

• Make field calculations with a high degree of accuracy.

• Set up control points across various work locations.

• Understand and implement site emergency response protocols.

• Grasp and apply site environmental response strategies, including the use of spill kits and erosion control measures.

• Follow all safety regulations pertinent to the assigned tasks.

• Operate independently with assurance and dependability.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in the role of a construction surveyor.

• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Trimble GNSS and Robotic equipment are essential.

• Completion of a diploma in Geomatics or Land Survey Technology, spanning 1–2 years.

• A valid Class 5 driver’s license is required.

• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening tests.

• Good physical condition to handle the strenuous tasks associated with the position.
