Surveillance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Oversee real-time equity trading, detecting suspicious patterns, irregular price shifts, and anomalies in the order book.

• Assess automated surveillance alerts and significant disclosures from publicly listed companies, escalating matters as necessary.

• Take action during trading as required, including executing trade breaks and imposing trading suspensions.

• Prepare initial referrals for potential market abuse or disciplinary issues.

• Work collaboratively with the MarketWatch team to meet regulatory obligations and participate in special projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.

• 1–3 years of experience in market surveillance, compliance, trading operations, or a similar field.

• Strong comprehension of equity markets and trading mechanisms.

• Capability to operate independently during overnight shifts and make sound judgments under pressure.

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.

• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and detection of market abuse.

• Knowledge of surveillance tools and systems for alert management.
