Surgical Technician – Live Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct 90-minute educational sessions that align with the course's didactic curriculum and the objectives of the TS-C certification exam.

• Facilitate engaging and motivational sessions that reinforce essential concepts and enhance learner confidence.

• Prepare independently for live instructional sessions.

• Provide demonstrations and walkthroughs of surgical principles, workflows, instrumentation, and best practices in the operating room.

• Lead focused TS-C certification review sessions employing NCCT-aligned preparation techniques.

• Assist learners in connecting classroom theories to practical applications in the operating room.

• Collaborate with mentors and the Springboard team to continuously enhance learner outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience as a Surgical Technician in an acute care hospital or surgical environment.

• Possession of the current Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) credential from NCCT or the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from NBSTSA.

• Active certification must be maintained throughout the duration of employment.

• At least 3 years of teaching experience in Surgical Technology (e.g., training, precepting).

• A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in an online program.

• Proven ability to simplify complex surgical concepts for learners with minimal or no prior healthcare experience.

• Extensive knowledge of:

• Aseptic technique and sterile field maintenance
• Surgical instrumentation
• Patient positioning and OR safety
• Surgical counts and specimen handling
• General and specialty surgical procedures
• TS-C certification exam content and preparation strategies

• A strong passion for coaching adult learners entering the healthcare workforce.
