Support Specialist, Financial Control & Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• In your role as a Support Specialist for Financial Control and Accounting, you will act as both a domain and platform expert.

• You will serve as the main point of contact for our customers who have selected Pennylane as their primary software for accounting and financial management.

• This places you at the center of the 360° customer experience, assisting clients and their accountants in fully utilizing Pennylane to aid their growth.

• You will act as the key liaison between our clients (business leaders), their internal accountants, and accounting firms.

• Engaging daily with users, you will strive to comprehend the challenges they face.

• Following your investigations, your objective is to provide users with answers or solutions, and escalate issues to technical teams when necessary.

• You will also assist company and firm accountants in importing their data into Pennylane to streamline their migration process.

• Joining the Pennylane Academy, you will receive training on the product and the processes of the team.

• You will learn to identify all stakeholders and collaborate effectively within your team and across other departments.

• You will begin addressing accounting-related requests by receiving and qualifying them.

• As you progress, you will start managing increasingly complex customer inquiries.

• You will contribute to the development and updating of customer help materials to enhance user autonomy.

• Sharing your accounting expertise and field experiences with colleagues will be part of your responsibilities.

• You will become a product expert, enhancing your team's efficiency by pinpointing areas for improvement.

• Taking ownership of significant projects, you will drive them to success to facilitate your personal growth.


⛳️ Requirements

• A background in accounting (BTS CGO, DCG, BTS in SME Management Assistance, Master CCA, or Bachelor in Administrative and Accounting Management).

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting firm (preferably having completed at least three fiscal periods).

• Experience working directly with company leaders is an advantage (for instance, in internal advisory roles).

• An interest in innovative tools and new technologies.

• Ability to work independently and solve problems autonomously.

• Familiarity with the Pennylane platform is a plus.

• Professional proficiency in English.

• Strong writing abilities and a pedagogical approach for clear and professional user interactions.

• Capacity to comprehend and address clients’ needs while delivering excellent service and maintaining solid client relationships.

• Competence to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Flexibility to adapt to the rapid changes in the tool.

• A willingness to learn and stay informed about product advancements.
