Support, Financial Operations and Accounting Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• In the role of Support, Financial Operations and Accounting Specialist, you will serve as an expert in both domain and platform.

• You will be the main point of contact for our clientele who have selected Pennylane as their primary software for accounting and financial management.

• Daily interactions with users will be essential as you strive to comprehend the challenges they face.

• Following your investigations, your aim is to either provide answers or solutions to your contacts or, when necessary, escalate the issue to the technical teams.

• Additionally, you will assist company accountants and accounting firms in importing their data into Pennylane to streamline their migration process.

• You will join the Pennylane Academy and engage in ongoing training on the product and the team's processes.

• You will acquire extensive knowledge about our company, our vision, and the various departments within it.

• Your responsibilities will include managing accounting-related inquiries: receiving requests, triaging and qualifying them based on a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and delivering prompt, impactful responses.

• You will start to tackle increasingly complex customer requests.

• Your contributions will aid in the creation and updating of help materials accessible to clients, promoting their autonomy.

• You will share your accounting expertise and field experience with your colleagues.

• Acting as the voice of the customer, you will provide constructive feedback to the product teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• A background in accounting education (e.g., BTS CGO, DCG, BTS in SME Management Assistance, Master’s in CCA, or Bachelor’s in Administrative and Accounting Management).

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting firm, ideally having navigated at least three fiscal periods/tax seasons.

• Direct experience collaborating with company leadership is advantageous (for instance, in internal advisory roles).

• A keen interest in innovative work tools and emerging technologies.

• Self-reliance and the ability to independently resolve problems and devise solutions.

• Familiarity with the Pennylane platform is a plus.

• Professional proficiency in English.

• Strong writing capabilities and the ability to clearly and pedagogically articulate concepts when engaging with users.

• A knack for understanding and addressing client needs, providing outstanding service, and sustaining robust client relationships.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Adaptability to the rapid evolution of the tool.

• A willingness to learn and keep abreast of product advancements.
