Supply Chain Performance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Enhances supplier quality performance by evaluating, validating, and overseeing PPAP submissions to ensure adherence to design, regulatory, and customer specifications.

• Works in partnership with suppliers and cross-functional teams to promote quality, address issues, and facilitate successful product launches.

• Assesses PPAP submissions for thoroughness and alignment with AIAG and customer standards.

• Confirms dimensional data, control plans, FMEAs, material certifications, testing, and MSA outcomes.

• Collaborates with suppliers to address documentation deficiencies and implement corrective measures.

• Monitors PPAP status and raises alerts for any risks or delays.

• Prepares Part Submission Warrants and related approval documentation.

• Keeps precise PPAP records and manages revision control.

• Assists with audits, launch readiness, and design/process modifications.

• Evaluates capability studies, Gage R&R, and process validation information.

• Oversees interim approvals and supplier resubmissions.

• Initiates and aids in supplier corrective actions (SCARs) and root cause investigations.

• Provides on-site supplier quality assistance when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five (5) years in quality, supplier quality, or PPAP coordination.

• Proficient understanding of AIAG Core Tools (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).

• Capability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.

• Experience in evaluating dimensional reports, certifications, and validation documentation.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality/document management systems.

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field (Preferred).

• Certifications in quality or AIAG Core Tools (Preferred).

• Experience with QMS systems, supplier portals, or PPAP platforms (Preferred).

• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 (Preferred).

• Experience with statistical analysis and process capability (Preferred).

• Background in manufacturing or supplier quality settings (Preferred).
