This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
• Play a vital role in cross-functional core teams that support all of Medtronic's locations and regions.
• Accountable for negotiating, reviewing, and approving Quality Agreements with suppliers to ensure adherence to quality system requirements, regulatory compliance, and operational responsibilities.
• Guarantees that suppliers provide quality parts, materials, and services.
• Assesses suppliers according to company standards and may manage a Certified Supplier Program during receiving inspection to ensure cost efficiency.
• Oversees parts from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle, addressing and resolving supplier-related issues as they arise.
• Develops and prioritizes an auditing schedule to ensure designated suppliers are audited regularly to meet good manufacturing practices (GMP) and quality standards.
• Evaluates suppliers' internal operations to gauge their overall performance and delivers feedback on their operations.
• Offers Pre-Market Quality Engineering assistance to New Product Development (NPD), collaborating with the Component Engineering and Post-Market Supplier Quality Teams.
• Provides technical direction and quality compliance for Supplier Quality involvement throughout the NPD lifecycle regarding newly qualified parts from NPD.
• A Baccalaureate degree and at least 2 years of relevant quality experience OR a Master's degree with no prior relevant experience required.
• Familiarity with ISO13485 standards is essential.
• Experience in negotiating and finalizing Quality Agreements with external suppliers.
• Comprehensive knowledge of supplier quality requirements and applicable regulations.
• Capability to interpret quality system requirements and translate them into contractual obligations.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration with sourcing, legal, regulatory, and operations teams.
• Strong skills in risk assessment, issue resolution, and decision-making.
• High attention to detail in document review, redlining, and approval processes.
• For Baccalaureate degrees obtained outside the United States, a degree that meets the criteria of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
