DRG QA, Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Managing the quality assurance processes for DRG Reviewers to ensure compliance with clinical, coding, and organizational standards.

• Evaluating the performance of both newly hired and existing staff while facilitating training programs.

• Delivering thorough feedback and collaborating with the educator on training initiatives.

• Keeping detailed records of audit results, feedback discussions, and training efforts.

• Producing reports on quality assurance outcomes and the success of training sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• An associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing, health information management, or a related discipline.

• Relevant work experience may be accepted in place of formal education.

• RHIA - Registered Health Information Administrator certification.

• RHIT - Registered Health Information Technician certification.

• CCDS - Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist certification.

• CDIP - Clinical Documentation Improvement Practitioner certification.

• CCS - Certified Coding Specialist certification.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in inpatient claims auditing, quality assurance, or clinical documentation integrity.

• At least 1 year of experience in a training or mentoring role.

• Strong understanding of DRG methodologies (MS & APR), ICD-10-CM/PCS coding, and UHDDS definitions.
