Supplier Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Ensure that components and assemblies meet engineering specifications.

• Oversee corrective actions, supplier performance metrics, and MRB decisions.

• Provide mechanical quality engineering assistance on the production floor.

• Carry out regular supplier audits to promote sustainable improvements.

• Lead root cause and corrective action investigations for quality issues.

• Maintain documentation for the supplier quality program.

• Conduct Statistical Process Control (SPC) studies on production processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality engineering or manufacturing engineering position within a high-mix production setting.

• Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

• Demonstrated experience in leading 8D root cause analysis and corrective action investigations.

• Proficient in using mechanical measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, and CMM interpretation).
