Supplier Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead Supplier Quality Rescue Projects by facilitating issue resolution, developing action plans, and implementing strategic supplier enhancements.

• Partner with our team in Brazil to ensure supplier quality objectives are achieved through on-site audits and visits, investigating quality issues, implementing sustainable solutions, and providing consistent progress updates to Top Management.

• Execute Risk Assessments during the selection process for new Suppliers.

• Deliver onboarding training to our suppliers.

• Perform audits of supplier quality systems and products, conduct risk assessments, and carry out technical visits to uphold quality standards, manage supplier performance, and promote continuous improvement.

• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions while overseeing non-conformance processes and managing supplier blocks.

• Assist in addressing quality requirements, product design, supply chain aspects, and process changes while monitoring supplier performance and promoting Lean initiatives.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams at Embraer and suppliers to resolve issues, strengthen integration, and provide executive updates.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering is required.

• Experience level should align with the professional requirements of the position.

• A strong grasp of quality management principles and problem-solving methodologies, including Six Sigma, 8D, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.

• Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).

• Capability to interpret technical drawings, publications, and reliability analyses.

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.

• Fluency in English is mandatory.

• Bilingual proficiency in Portuguese, Spanish, German, Italian, or French is an advantage.

• Willingness to travel internationally, including potential long-term assignments.
