This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Collaborate with the team to inspect generator packages using available documentation resources.
• Analyze nonconformance data within the quality management system.
• Initiate corrective action requests for suppliers in cases of severe and recurring nonconformances.
• Validate the effectiveness of supplier corrective actions.
• Act as a secondary auditor during first article inspections.
• Assist in supplier qualification audits by gathering documentation and recording Gemba observations.
• Engage in ongoing education related to new solutions, technologies, and skills.
• Work with the team to meet Continuous Improvement goals and objectives.
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective measures.
• Utilize measurement tools to confirm specifications.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments.
• Adapt to shifting project priorities as needed.
• Manage multiple competing tasks and demands effectively.
• Foster a positive customer experience.
• Execute other related responsibilities as assigned.
• Prior experience in quality engineering is required.
• A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Certification in quality methodologies, such as Six Sigma or ASQ, is advantageous.
• General understanding of mechanical and electrical product designs and concepts.
• Experience in data analysis is necessary.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
• An excellent driving record is required.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% to various job sites across North America as required.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Proficient in using measurement tools to verify specifications.
• Ability to perform effective risk assessments.
• Competence in working both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple competing tasks and demands.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Capability to regularly stand, walk, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to frequently sit; use hands for various tasks; reach with arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Good close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
