This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.
• Manage and provide support for the External Manufacturing organization’s sourcing activities.
• Assess, evaluate, and choose subcontractors based on their capabilities, historical performance, and project needs.
• Implement the BG ICS sourcing strategy for both back-end and front-end processes and develop the supplier network.
• Offer commercial insights regarding stakeholder needs.
• Ensure adherence to the terms and conditions outlined in contracts.
• Serve as the escalation point at subcontractors for New Product Introduction (NPI) and industrial project teams.
• Address significant issues related to assembly/tester allocation, availability of components, and prioritization.
• Negotiate supplier capacity for both front-end and back-end to align with the BG China+1 strategy.
• Promote cost reduction through negotiations, value engineering, and ongoing cost assessments.
• Work alongside subcontractors to discover and apply cost-saving initiatives.
• Keep track of market trends to ensure competitiveness in pricing.
• Engage in contract negotiations with subcontractors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and conditions.
• Collaborate with External Manufacturing, legal, and procurement teams on contractual obligations and compliance issues.
• Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) for cost savings, supplier performance, sourcing efficiency, and contract adherence.
• Oversee supplier identification and evaluation, contract negotiations, supplier relations, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and capacity management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, products, and subcontractor services.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Nexperia teams and suppliers across different regions and in remote settings.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in subcontract/foundry sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management with a focus on semiconductors.
• An advanced degree (MBA, MS) is preferred.
