This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Take ownership of and manage supplier development KPIs specific to the SBU, including both leading and lagging indicators, to monitor supplier performance, risk, and maturity.
• Advocate for supplier development priorities during SBU staff meetings and ensure strategic alignment is communicated effectively.
• Lead and support tiered meetings within the SBU, providing updates on supplier development initiatives, escalations, and their impact on critical programs.
• Coordinate resource prioritization and supplier strategies with Value Stream Leaders and SBU stakeholders.
• Act as the primary representative for supplier quality, delivery, and readiness concerns within the SBU.
• Serve as an escalation point of contact for teams when necessary.
• Facilitate communication between SBU operations and Global Supplier Development to ensure smooth handoffs, alignment, and feedback mechanisms.
• Assist with SBU program planning to ensure supplier capacity and development actions are in sync with execution and NPI ramp-up timelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional program committees to support cohesive supplier development strategies.
• Drive Supplier Development Plans within the assigned SBU in partnership with Global Supplier Development and commodity leaders.
• Foster collaboration across Sourcing, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to enhance supplier performance.
• Provide support to suppliers as required, dedicating up to 50% of time to this effort.
• A university degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
• A demonstrated understanding of casting and/or forging products along with their manufacturing processes.
• A proven track record of effective cross-functional program leadership, KPI management, and handling escalations.
• Strong analytical capabilities, problem-solving skills, and business acumen.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Demonstrated expertise in supplier management and business practices.
• Experience in supplier risk management, APQP, AS9100, or within complex manufacturing environments.
• In-depth knowledge of supplier collaboration strategies, planning, and risk management frameworks.
• U.S. citizenship is required; only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under the program/contract.
• Security clearance is not required.
