This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +10 more states.
• Drive operational excellence and ensure process compliance within the supply base through on-site evaluations and assessments.
• Assist key suppliers in resolving critical issues that could impact the business on a wide scale by collaborating across Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, and Operations leadership.
• Coordinate and address company-wide risks and obstacles to guarantee that manufacturing, supply chain, and delivery schedules meet customer requirements.
• Responsible for reporting the progress of key suppliers on operational initiatives during executive reviews with senior leadership, both internal and external.
• Drive improvements in on-time delivery and quality performance across multiple suppliers.
• Develop and implement quality improvement plans.
• Coordinate the identification of root causes and the establishment of corrective actions.
• Lead on-site assessments alongside Buyers, Quality, and Engineering teams to enhance overall supplier performance.
• Identify and eliminate significant barriers to the implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) for suppliers to enhance on-time delivery and quality.
• Evaluate key supplier performance and apply sustainable countermeasures and actions to foster improvement.
• Direct production readiness assessments for New Product Introductions and rate increases, including capacity confirmation to ensure timely ramp-up to production volumes with company-wide implications.
• Oversee the monitoring of critical business-wide metrics and coordinate cross-functional work teams to significantly enhance the effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.
• Engage senior management of key suppliers to initiate significant improvement programs aimed at achieving and maintaining high performance levels.
• Plan, organize, direct, and report on all activities and matters related to supplier performance.
• Evaluate supplier performance, management capabilities, capacity, and production readiness.
• Assess supplier qualifications, including their training and certifications.
• Develop supplier improvement plans and collaborate with suppliers to ensure optimal performance is attained.
• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or a related field and 8 years of experience in Operations, Quality, and/or Continuous Improvement roles; or an advanced degree with 5 years of experience.
• U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
• Reside within the Midwest, USA area (IL, IN, IA, KS, MI, MN, MO, NE, ND, OH, SD, WI).
