This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and motivate a skilled, multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivering physical designs for substations for utilities and EPC partners.
• Provide strategic guidance on project resources, budgets, and client relationships.
• Mentor engineers through intricate transmission and distribution projects.
• Oversee resources, performance, and development for an expanding national substation group.
• Review and endorse design packages, drawings, and specifications to ensure technical excellence.
• Collaborate with leadership on business development and recruiting initiatives.
• Foster a culture of learning, innovation, collaboration, and inclusion within the team.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering along with an active PE license; PMP certification is preferred.
• Over 15 years of experience in physical substation design, including more than 4 years in a leadership role.
• Comprehensive understanding of high-voltage substation design, general arrangements, grounding plans, and bus configurations.
• In-depth knowledge of utility industry standards.
• A strong enthusiasm for mentorship, innovation, and collaborative leadership.
